Advanced Placement Microeconomics

Course Description

 

APĀ® Microeconomics is a half credit course in which students are introduced to individual units such as a person, household, a firm or an industry.  Students evaluate the economic perspective through the recognition of resource scarcity resulting in choices having to be made as well as defining rational behavior by using the concepts of efficiency and equity. 

Objectives:

 Students will

  • demonstrate economic questioning and analysis skills.
  • interpret a variety of graphical models and economic concepts.
  • use and interpret business language and basic measurements of economics performance.
  • apply economic skills and concept knowledge to higher college-level economic courses.
