Go over examples on the board on how to solve quadratic equations by taking square roots and how to use the Pythagorean Theorem to solve problems involving right triangles. Work practice problems in class together.

The students will complete a worksheet, #s 2-30 even in class. After the students complete the problems, we will go over them together. Homework will be assigned.  Students will work on page 296 (back side of worksheet) on numbers 30 through 39 during class with teacher as well.

The students will be given some problems to work in class that involve multiplying matrices and finding the determinant of a 2x2 and 3x3 matrix. After the students complete the problems, we will go over them together. Homework will be assigned.
