9-22-2025: Introduction to Résumés
1. Ask students: “Why do people need résumés?” and “What first impression do employers get from a résumé?”
2. Explain the purpose of a résumé and discuss the main types (chronological, functional, combination).
3. In small groups, students analyze sample résumés—identify strengths and weaknesses.
4. Groups share findings; teacher summarizes key résumé components (heading, objective, education, experience, skills, etc.).

1. Recap résumé parts from Day 1.
2. Explain how to list contact information, education, work/volunteer experience, and skills.
3. Students fill out the worksheet with their personal details, achievements, and activities.
4. Students share what they plan to highlight most.

1. Teach résumé formatting (font size, layout, bullet points) and strong wording using action verbs.
2. Students create their first résumé draft. Teacher circulates and gives individual feedback.
3. Volunteers share one strong bullet point; class discusses what makes it effective.

Students exchange résumés and use checklist/rubric to give feedback.

Students finalize and print or upload their résumé.
