Students w/ perfect attendance in Oct and Nov can get 1 day for each month added to the exemption formula. Example if you have perfect attendance in only Oct you get 1 day added to formula. If you have perfect attendance in Oct and Nov you get 2 days added to the formula.


Exams are October 7th and 8th  Monday – 2nd and 3rd blocks, Tuesday 1st and 4th blocks.

*Some exams may be given Friday to make computers available. Teachers will let the classes know.


These are mid-term exams not finals so exemptions are not possible for full credit classes. Attendance will be kept all day.


Yearbooks are now on sale with a back to school special price. Order by September 30th, and the cost is only $55 - including four free icons for personalization. Beginning Oct 1st Cost is $60


Brookhaven Police Dept would like to remind everyone that the street between BHS and Central office is a one way street w/ entry from Monticello St. They will also use this procedure on ballgame nights. Also the street between BHS and cemetery is closed during the school day.


Students being dropped off at the front BPD – wants to remind you that you should only stop in the parent drop off line. Stopping in the street is not allowed and is a safety issue for students.


The next BHS literary magazine club meeting will be held on Monday, October 14th after school (3:30-5:30pm) at the Lincoln Lawrence Franklin County Library in the Vernon Room. Mr. Ed Williford will give a short presentation to inspire club members with their writing. Refreshments will be served. The BHS literary magazine club is open to all students. For more information, please talk to Ms. Davis or McLain Henderson.


The BHS Literary Magazine club is selling fresh fruit to be delivered in time for the Christmas holidays. Orders will be taken until November 1. Follow the link below to the Florida Indian River Groves e-commerce website and place your order. All proceeds support the publication of the club magazine.   




No students are allowed in the building before 7:20


Students hanging out in the morning be sure trash is disposed of properly. Free time before school is a privilege be sure to treat it accordingly.


Any student recording or taking unauthorized pictures can be suspended from BHS.


No headphones allowed inside the building.


Bus lane is a one-way street with entry from Monticello St.


Student drivers be sure to park and come in the building. You may not hang out in the parking lot.


Bus riders must stay on campus once you have arrived.


The street between the HS and the cemetery is closed during school hours.


Any food brought for a student lunch must be out of the packaging if it contains a business logo.


Students should not be leaving the cafeteria with open food and drink containers.  


Once a student is checked out or school ends (by parent or on permanent checkout out list) you must leave campus immediately.
