Senior Information

Join Mrs. Risher's Senior Remind group!
Great news for seniors - you can file earlier and it will be easier!
FAFSA filing normally opens January 1 for seniors and requires that students and parents complete the current federal tax form before the FAFSA is processed.  Beginning with the Class of 2017, your seniors will be able to file as early as October 1 of their senior year and use previous year’s tax information. And we hear that colleges will open applications earlier and your seniors will be able to complete State Aid earlier as well. The attached flier has more details.  FAFSA Information
MTAG is available to all Mississippi high school graduates who have at least a 15 on the ACT and a 2.5 (75) GPA at graduation. You must attend college in the state of Mississippi. MTAG is worth $500 a year for your first two years of college and $1,000 a year for your last two years. If you make a 29 or above on the ACT and have a 3.5 (85) GPA, then you qualify for MESG (Mississippi Eminent Scholars Grant) and it is worth $2,500 a year for college if you attend in Mississippi.
