FALL BREAK Oct 28th and 29th - NO SCHOOL

 

Seniors meet w/ Jostens during activity 11/5

 

BHS Cross Country will compete for state championships Monday, 11/ 4 at 11 and 11:40. Students may attend and not counted absent IF they bring a note from a parent.  Tickets were not given at the meet.

 

Cross Country will place their trophy in the new case this Wednesday morning (11/6) at 7:45 am.

 

Students w/ perfect attendance in Oct and Nov can get 1 day for each month added to the exemption formula. Example if you have perfect attendance in only Oct you get 1 day added to formula. If you have perfect attendance in Oct and Nov you get 2 days added to the formula.

 

Yearbooks are now $60. We can not guarantee any extras for sale. Orders yours today.

 

BHS clothes closet drive – Nov 11-18.  Homeroom w/ most items donated will receive a pizza party.

Items needed: toothbrush, toothpaste, feminine products, lotion, deodorant, socks, pants, hair ties, soap, wash clothes, slightly worn – shoes, jackets, clothing and etc..

 

Brookhaven Police Dept would like to remind everyone that the street between BHS and Central office is a one way street w/ entry from Monticello St. They will also use this procedure on ballgame nights. Also the street between BHS and cemetery is closed during the school day.

 

Students being dropped off at the front BPD – wants to remind you that you should only stop in the parent drop off line. Stopping in the street is not allowed and is a safety issue for students.

 

The BHS Literary Magazine club is selling fresh fruit to be delivered in time for the Christmas holidays. Orders will be taken until November 1. REMINDERS:

No students are allowed in the building before 7:20

 

Students hanging out in the morning be sure trash is disposed of properly. Free time before school is a privilege be sure to treat it accordingly.

 

Any student recording or taking unauthorized pictures can be suspended from BHS.

 

No headphones allowed inside the building.

 

Bus lane is a one-way street with entry from Monticello St.

 

Student drivers be sure to park and come in the building. You may not hang out in the parking lot.

 

Bus riders must stay on campus once you have arrived.

 

The street between the HS and the cemetery is closed during school hours.

 

Any food brought for a student lunch must be out of the packaging if it contains a business logo.

 

Students should not be leaving the cafeteria with open food and drink containers.  

 

Once a student is checked out or school ends (by parent or on permanent checkout out list) you must leave campus immediately.
