• Friday’s Pep Rally will begin at 11

• Come on out tonight and support our Panthers - Basketball has our first home game v Brandon & Soccer will be playing at the complex tonight v Loyd Star.

• Congratulations to our Cross Country Teams! Boys #1 team in the state and Girls #2 in the state.

• Congratulations to our October Students and Teacher of the month. Please stop by the library for your Georgia Blue gift card and to give Mrs. Clopton your T shirt size.

• Congratulations Ms. Allie Claire Townsend! She will be serving as Miss Merry Christmas!

• National Honor Society and JROTC are collecting donations for the Socks for Heroes organization which donates much needed items to veterans in nursing homes in Mississippi and Louisiana for Christmas. Items, such as socks, blankets, knit cap, gloves, and word searches, are given to men and women who served in the military. A complete list and donation boxes can be found in Ms. Russell's room, Mrs. Cole's room, Mrs. M. Case's room, Colonel Weaver's room, and the library if you would like to help support our veterans. Donations will be accepted until December 7.

• Congratulations BHS Cross Country! They will compete at the state meet this coming Monday, Nov 6th. If students wish to attend they will need to return w/ a note from your parent. Girls race at 11 and Guys at 11:30. Cost is $7 to enter and meet is at Choctaw Trails.

• Picture Retakes are scheduled for 9th -11th grade retakes on Nov 2nd.

• Anyone interested in videoing for the girls' basketball program please see Coach Wilson.

• SENIORS – Cap and Gown Rep - Monday 11/06 the cap and gown man will be here to do a presentation with all our seniors. He plans to be here at 11:00 and the presentation will last about an hour. Please let all seniors know so they can make plans to attend. We will call for seniors when he is set up and ready.

• Do you LOVE science? Anyone interested in joining the new SCIENCE CLUB needs to report to Mrs. S. Wallace's room in the math building on Wednesdays during Homeroom. This club will be assisting with science tutoring on Wednesdays after school and take part in other activities.

• All students signed up for 21st century tutoring program need to ride bus 198 to Lipsey.

• FREE Panther Pals Peer Tutoring sessions coming soon to the BHS Library after school (days will be determined shortly and announced). Students in need of improving their math skills can see Mrs. Sproles in the library to sign up for help. Students who are able to help tutor (Comp Math through Algebra II especially but knowledge of other math courses is welcome) please see Mrs. Sproles to sign up to help. Community service hours will be given for tutors.

• NEW! Parent system to keep up grades, attendance and discipline. See the announcement regarding “Active Parent” for details on how to sign up. Student logins will begin in the next few days.

• YEARBOOKS are NOW on sale for the reduced introductory price of $50. This WILL END at Thanksgiving Break and the price will increase. Order forms are at the FRONT OFFICE WINDOW or the LIBRARY (return these with payment to Mrs. Sproles in the Library) ... OR ... order online at jostensyearbooks.com

• SENIORS --- There is a spiral notebook in the front attendance office to WRITE YOUR SENIOR QUOTE and SENIOR WILL & TESTAMENT comment. THESE ARE DUE by THANKSGIVING BREAK and MUST be SCHOOL APPROPRIATE or they will not be included.

• SENIOR ad information will be sent home sometime later this Fall.

• SENIORS! The FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. FREE assistance with your FAFSA will be available on November 7 here at school. But you must sign up for an appointment with Mrs. Risher in the Counseling Office. See the FASFA flyer on the BHS site for more information.

• REMINDERS:
 Student drivers be sure to park and come in the building. You may not hang out in the parking lot.
 Bus riders must stay on campus once you have arrived.
 The street between the HS and the cemetery is closed during school hours.
 Any food brought for a student lunch must be out of the packaging if it contains a business logo.
 Students leaving campus after 3rd block, walkers have right of way.

• ACT vouchers have arrived. 11th and 12th grade students interested in receiving a free voucher should check with their counselor to see if they qualify.

• After School Detention will be held upstairs in Ms. Seals in room# 230 from 3:25-3:45.

• Students should not be leaving the cafeteria with open food and drink containers.

• No students are allowed in the building before 7:20
