BHS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

ALL REGISTRATION INFORMATION – on line documents, handbook forms, proofs of residency, free and reduced lunch, and etc. are PAST DUE! Students who have not completed all required documents will not be allowed to continue to attend BHS. If you need help with registration you may go to the Mullins campus and meet with our technical team to assist you.

 

EXEMPTION UPDATE FOR DECEMBER.

Students that have NO absences in October will have an extra day added to the exemption formula. We will do the same for November. Students have the opportunity to add 2 days to the exemption formula if they have true perfect attendance for both months.

 

9 Weeks Exams are Thursday and Friday 10/4,5

Thursday 2nd and 4th blocks

Friday 1st and 3rd blocks

        *ONLY 1/2 credit courses are eligible for exemption, follow handbook.

 

 

Report card pickup will be on Oct 9th. That will be a staff day only. We will also host our college fair from 3-6. Closed for lunch 2-3.

 

BHS students have a Bible Study every Monday morning at 7:40 in the library. Anyone interested may attend.

 

Students hanging out in the morning be sure trash is disposed of properly. Free time before school is a privilege be sure to treat it accordingly.

 

FCA – Fellowship of Christian Athletes meets Friday morning before school in the library. All students are invited. (Not just athletes.)

 

Co-Lin is offering an ACT prep class on Saturday, Oct. 13th from 8-12 with Dot McClendon. Cost is $60 and seating is limited to 45 students. To sign up call 601-643-8397 or 601-643-8490. Seats are first come, first serve and no refunds will be given. Deadline for registering is Sept 28th.

 

This year's yearbooks are NOW on sale for $60 until Thanksgiving Break, then the cost goes to $70 for the remainder of the year. Copies of last year's book are still available for $80. Ordering online at jostensyearbooks.com is available or see Mrs. Sproles Room 228 anytime during 1st block.

 

SENIORS: If YOU want to choose your drape/tux photo for the yearbook, bring the photo you want used to Mrs. Sproles Room 228 by Sept 28. If you do not submit a photo of your choice, the yearbook will choose your picture to use. BABY PICS, SENIOR QUOTES and LAST Will/Testament statements are all DUE by Thanksgiving Break. Senior recognition ad information will be released soon.

ON GOING REMINDERS:

 

No students are allowed in the building before 7:20

 

Bus lane is a one way street with entry from Monticello St.

 

Student drivers be sure to park and come in the building. You may not hang out in the parking lot.

 

Bus riders must stay on campus once you have arrived.

 

The street between the HS and the cemetery is closed during school hours.

 

Any food brought for a student lunch must be out of the packaging if it contains a business logo.

 

Students should not be leaving the cafeteria with open food and drink containers.  

 

Students leaving campus after 3rd block, walkers have right of way.

 

Bus riders be sure you are at the bus zone and watching for you bus immediately following school.

 

Once a student is checked out (by parent or on permanent checkout out list) you must leave campus immediately.
