             8-8:30 - Pep rally in gym – REPORT TO GYM AT 8 AM BELL

8:30 - 9:15 1st block

9:20 -10:05 2nd block

10:10 - 10:55 3rd block

11 - 1 - 4th block and lunch

 

Friday, Oct 19th is Early Release 1 pm.

1:00 - Homecoming Court Pictures in Dance Studio.

3:00 - Homecoming Production

6:30 - Homecoming Court Presentation on King Field

7:00 - Homecoming Game

 

Student Council will be meeting tomorrow (10/16) during homeroom. 

 

FCA will meet in the library tomorrow morning instead of Friday this week only due to Homecoming Pep Rally.

 

Seniors will be voting for Homecoming Queen, Tuesday, October 16 in homeroom.

 

Parents: if you missed report card pick up please stop by and pick up your student’s report card.

 

EXEMPTION UPDATE FOR DECEMBER.

Students that have NO absences in October will have an extra day added to the exemption formula. We will do the same for November. Students have the opportunity to add 2 days to the exemption formula if they have true perfect attendance for both months.

 

Homecoming production tickets are on sale. Students may only purchase tickets during homeroom time.

BHS Class Parents are sponsoring a homecoming dance. Friday, October 19th, after the football game until midnight @ Lincoln County Civic Center. $10 Admission. (Tickets are available for purchase at the BHS office the week of homecoming or at the door.) For BHS students and dates.

 

BHS Reading Fair is October 23 and please see Mrs. Clopton in the library or the BSD website for details.

 

ALL JUNIORS will take the ASVAB on TUESDAY 11/6. This is a great opportunity for career exploration.   

 

BHS students have a Bible Study every Monday morning at 7:40 in the library. Anyone interested may attend.

 

Students hanging out in the morning be sure trash is disposed of properly. Free time before school is a privilege be sure to treat it accordingly.

 

FCA – Fellowship of Christian Athletes meets Friday morning before school in the library. All students are invited. (Not just athletes.)

 

This year's yearbooks are NOW on sale for $60 until Thanksgiving Break, then the cost goes to $70 for the remainder of the year. Copies of last year's book are still available for $80. Ordering online at jostensyearbooks.com is available or see Mrs. Sproles Room 228 anytime during 1st block.

ON GOING REMINDERS:

No students are allowed in the building before 7:20

 

Bus lane is a one way street with entry from Monticello St.

 

Student drivers be sure to park and come in the building. You may not hang out in the parking lot.

 

Bus riders must stay on campus once you have arrived.

 

The street between the HS and the cemetery is closed during school hours.

 

Any food brought for a student lunch must be out of the packaging if it contains a business logo.

 

Students should not be leaving the cafeteria with open food and drink containers.  

 

Students leaving campus after 3rd block, walkers have right of way.

 

Bus riders be sure you are at the bus zone and watching for you bus immediately following school.

 

Once a student is checked out (by parent or on permanent checkout out list) you must leave campus immediately.
