Monday

The students will complete the Do Now.  Next the teacher and students will review the Do Now.  The students will review the scientific method.  The students will review their Friday test.  Next, the teacher will discuss analyzing data.  The students will do guided practice with by analyzing graphs and their variables.  The students will complete Analyzing Data Worksheets.  The students will review vocabulary and word parts.  The students will review lab experiments and the instruments used in the experiments.  The teacher will review for a quiz on Wednesday.  Homework will be assigned.

Tuesday

The students will complete the Do Now.  Next the teacher and students will review the Do Now.  The students will review the scientific method.  The students will design their own lab experiment.  Next the students will conduct their own lab and write an experiment.  Homework will be assigned.

 

Wednesday

The students will complete the Do Now.  Next, the teacher and students will review the Do Now.  The students will review for the quiz.  The students will take a quiz on analyzing data.  Following the quiz, the introduce the nature of matter.  The students will reflect on the previous lab.  Students will review standardize test prep.

 

Thursday

The students will complete the Do Now.  Next, the teacher and students will review the Do Now.  The teacher will do a demonstration.  The students will reflect on the demonstration.  The teacher will discuss properties of water.  The students will complete a guided practice about the properties of water.  The students will do independent practice about the properties of water.  The students will complete the study guide in small groups or individually.  Homework will be assigned.

 

Friday

The students will complete the Do Now.  Next, the teacher and students will review the Do Now.  The teacher will review with the students prior to their testing.  Then the students will test on the scientific method as well as Chapter 2 Sections 1 and 2.  Homework will be assigned.

Thursday--TSW review previous lessons, practice graphing and analyzing data
Friday--Test #1, prepare for next lesson
