English II

English II builds upon the foundation of critical thinking and analytical writing skills gained in World Literature. Though English II still uses texts from around the world, the texts are increasingly more complex as the class progresses. As they develop their writing skills, students will learn to refine arguments, summarize informative texts, and create descriptive narratives. They will also refine their editing and revising skills. The students will begin having their assignments timed in order to prepare them for the MAP State Test taken in the Spring of English II.
