Welcome Freshmen!
On behalf of the administrators, teachers, and staff of BHS, I want to welcome you to high school. We have a lot of information to share with you as you begin your high school career. You are encouraged to ask questions you may have to ensure your transition to high school is smooth.
We will host a freshmen orientation Tuesday, August 1st at 6:00 pm, in the high school auditorium. This will give you an opportunity to learn more about the high school, to meet your teachers, find your classes, and get your schedules. Below is a brief calendar of events for the next few weeks.

Calendar of Events:
*Beginning July 5-17, parents can pick up registration/enrollment packet(s) from the Brookhaven School District Central Office on Court Street.
July 19-20 Early Registration at Lipsey 10 am – 6 pm
Parents need to bring:
1. Two Proofs of Residency (with the legal guardian’s name and current address)
(Utility Bill -less than 30 days old, Voter ID, Auto Registration, Deed, Lease, Mortgage or Rent Receipt)
- Section, Township, and Range Information (Lincoln Co. Tax Collector @ 601-823-9347)
- Copy of Immunization Record (for new students only, Lincoln Co. Health Dept. @ 601-833-3314)
- Copy of Birth Certificate (for new students only)
*The following will also be available during Early Registration - Lunch Applications, Special Services Information, & Bus Transportation information.
August 1 – Freshmen Orientation - arrive at 6 pm for assigned seats, presentation will begin at 6:20 pm.
August 4 – Students first day – arrive by 7:40 a.m., go to homeroom, tardy bell rings at 8:00 am.
August 4 – 11 – Go to homeroom to begin each day & turn in forms
ALL FORMS MUST BE IN BY AUGUST 11th IN ORDER FOR YOUR STUDENT TO REMAIN ENROLLED AT BHS.
September 1 – Progress Reports
October 10 – Report Card Pick Up Day
