Exam Schedule

If a student is absent from an exam, he must contact the teacher on the day of the exam and the principal to receive permission to make up the exam. If the student does not contact the teacher and the principal, he will receive a zero for the exam.

- Night - by Elie Wiesel – The novel belongs to the school, and students are responsible for the care of the book. Damage or replacement cost is $11.00 plus tax. The book is in the Canvas Module Week 2 - Night Text.
The story is about a concentration camp prisoner. Pictures and video clips of the Holocaust will be shown. Students will read, discuss, and answer questions. Students will research various topics related to the Holocaust. Time permitting, we will view The Diary of Anne Frank and Escape from Sobibor. We will also view a tour of Auschwitz hosted by Elie Wiesel and Oprah Winfrey. Students will learn story-related vocabulary, discuss the events and writing elements of the story, and answer study questions. There will be periodic quizzes.

IMPORTANT ATTENDANCE NOTICE
Attendance for virtual learners will be taken through Canvas. In order to be counted present, you must log into Canvas each day and do your assignments. You will see in Week Four's module an assignment labeled with each day of the week and the word attendance. You must complete and submit that assignment to be counted present for that day. The assignment is only available for each specific day, so you may not do the daily attendance assignments on any other day except for the day it is labeled.
