Week 3 - 08/19 - 08/23

Monday - Solving Absolute Value Equations   Check and go over the homework and bell work. Work examples on the board. Work practice problems together in class. Students will work problems on page 68, old textbook, #s 25-39 odd in class. Teacher will assist as necessary.

Assignment: Homework - page 68, old textbook, 26-38 even

Tuesday - Solving Absolute Value Inequalities   Check and go over homework and bell work. The students will take a quiz on Ch. 2, Sec. 1, 8. After the quiz start on absolute value inequalities. Work examples on the board. Work practice problems in class.

Assignment: Homework - Review notes and examples

Wednesday - Solving Absolute Value Inequalities   Check and go over the bell work. Student will work on practice problems on page 68, old textbook, #s 40-56 even. The teacher will assist students as necessary. After the students complete the class work problems, we will go over the problems together.

Assignment: Homework - page 68, #s 41-57 odd 

Thursday - Solving Absolute Value Inequalities   Check and go over the bell work and homework. Give the students the review sheet to work on in class. The students can work on the review individually or pair up with another student. The teacher will assist students as necessary. If the students do not complete the review sheet in class, they will finish it for homework.

Assignment: Homework - complete the review sheet for the test on equations and inequalities 

Friday - Review and take the test on Equations and Inequalities   Check the review sheet for a homework grade.

Go over the review sheet with the students before the test. After reviewing, the students will take the test.
