Monday -  Find values of expressions using the order of operations and simplify expressions.   Check and go over the bell work and homework. The students will complete the problems on worksheet 1-1, #s 1-14, 19-26  in class. After the students complete the worksheet, we will go over it, and I will answer any questions they may have. Homework will be assigned.
Assignment: Homework - pages 91 and 92, old textbook, #s 57-69 odd, 81-93 odd

 

Tuesday - Find the values of expressions using order of operations and simplify expressions. Check and go over bell work and homework. The students will complete problems from Classifying Real Numbers worksheet. After the students complete the worksheet, we will go over it. Students will then complete worksheet on Order of Operations. If students do not finish they will finish for homework.
Homework - Complete classwork.

 

Wednesday - Find the values of expressions using order of operations and simplify expressions. Check and go over bell work and homework. The students will complete a quiz on Identifying Number Sets. After the quiz, students will complete a worksheet on Simplifying Expressions. 
Homework - Students will complete Simplifying Expressions classwork if not completed in class. 

 

Thursday - Find values of expressions using the order of operations and simplify expressions.   Check and go over the bell work and homework. Give the students the review sheet to work on in class. The students can work on the review sheet individually or pair up with another student. The teacher will assist students as necessary.
Assignment: Classwork/Homework - complete the review sheet for the test tomorrow

 

Friday - Review and take the test on simplifying expressions and the order of operations.   Check the review sheet for a homework grade. Go over the review sheet with the students before the test. After reviewing, the students will take the test.
