Monday - Factoring Quadratic Expressions   Check and go over the bell work and homework problems. Go over examples on how to use the zero product property to find the zeros of quadratic functions. Work practice problems in class together. The students will complete the problems on pages 296 and 297, #s 41-57 odd and 58-86 even in class. If the students do not finish all the problems in class, they will complete them for homework.

Tuesday - Factoring and the Zero Product Property   Check and go over the bell work and homework problems. The students will take a quiz after we go over the homework. The students will work on additional practice problems on factoring and the zero product property. The students will complete worksheet 5.3, #s 2-30 even in class. The teacher will assist as necessary. After the students complete the worksheet, we will go over it together.

Assignment: Homework - Worksheet 5.3, #s 1-29 odd. 

 

 

 

Wednesday - Review - Go over bell work and homework. Students will complete review sheet for test. The students may work with a partner or individually. The teacher will assist as needed. We will go over these together.

Thursday - Test - Go over bell work. Teacher will answer any of questions prior to the test. Students will complete the test.

Friday - Completing the Square   Go over the bell work. Work examples on the board on how to complete the square to solve quadratic equations. Work practice problems in class together. The students will work on worksheet 7-3, #s 10-20 even in class. The teacher will assist students needed. After the students complete the worksheet, we will go over it together. Homework will be assigned.
