Monday - Completing the Square and the Quadratic Formula   Check and go over the bell work and homework problems. Work examples on the board on how to use the quadratic formula to solve quadratic equations. Work practice problems in class together. The students will complete the problems on worksheet 7-4, #s 1-5, 8-12 in class. After the students complete the worksheet, we will go over it together. Homework will be assigned.

The students will complete the practice problems on page 342, old textbook, #s 42- 48 even, and #s 54-60 even on completing the square and the quadratic formula. The teacher will assist students as needed. After the students complete the practice problems, we will go over them together. Homework will be assigned.

Thursday - Review for the test on Completing the Square and the Quadratic Formula   Check and go over the bell work and homework problems. The students will work on the review sheet. The students can work on the review sheet individually or pair up with another student. The teacher will assist as needed. If the students do not complete the review sheet in class, they will complete it for homework.

Assignment: Homework - Complete the review sheet on factoring using the zero product property, completing the square and the quadratic formula

 

 

Friday - Review and Test on Quadratic Equations   Check and go over the review sheet. After reviewing, the students will take the test on quadratic equations.
